What are your opening hours?

Our opening hours vary depending on activities and sessions. Please check the timetable or contact the Centre for the most up‑to‑date information.

Do I need to be a member to attend classes or activities?

No—you do not need a membership to use West Wight Sports and Community Centre.

We offer a range of pay‑as‑you‑go options, as well as flexible memberships for regular users, including:

  • Swim memberships
  • Gym memberships
  • Class memberships
  • Diamond Plus membership, which offers the best value and includes:
  • Access to all gym, pool and classes
  • A parking pass
  • Discounted hot drinks

Our memberships are designed to suit different needs, but you’re always welcome whether you’re visiting occasionally or attending regularly.

How do I join?

Joining West Wight Sports and Community Centre is quick and easy.

You can:

  • Join online
  • Speak to our team at reception, who will be happy to talk through the best options for you

Choose a membership that suits your needs, including swim, gym, classes or Diamond Plus

Start straight away with either a membership or pay‑as‑you‑go option

If you’re unsure which option is right for you, our team will help you find the best fit based on your interests and goals.

Do I need to book in advance?

Booking is recommended for many sessions, especially classes and busy swim times. Some activities may allow walk‑in spaces, but booking helps guarantee your place.

Is the swimming pool open every day?

Yes—our swimming pools are open seven days a week.

We offer a range of sessions throughout the week, including public swimming, lane swimming, lessons and family sessions. Times may vary depending on the timetable, so we recommend checking the latest timetable before your visit.

Can I use the gym any time?

Gym access is available during scheduled opening hours, which may vary throughout the day.

Sessions need to be booked in advance, and certain times may be reserved for classes or specific user groups. We recommend checking the timetable before your visit to find a time that suits you.

Can I park at the centre?

Yes—there is a council‑run car park located at the Centre.

Parking can be paid for using:

  • Cash at the machine
  • The PayByPhone app (code: 84032)

For added convenience, Diamond Plus and Diamond memberships include a parking pass, offering great value for regular visitors. This excludes 2 and  week memberships.

 

Do you have a café?

Yes, we do have a café offering hot drinks and snacks.

Can I get to you using public transport?

 Yes—the Centre is centrally located in Freshwater and accessible via local bus routes for both Southern Vectis and the community FYT bus.
