The Barnardo’s Family Centre at West Wight Sports and Community Centre on the Isle of Wight provides a range of support services for families, parents and carers in the local community.

Located onsite, the Family Centre is delivered by Barnardo’s, an external organisation, offering trusted support, advice and guidance for families at different stages of life. The service focuses on promoting positive family relationships, supporting children’s development and helping families access the right help when they need it.

While based onsite at the West Wight Sports and Community Centre building, these services are run independently by Barnardo’s and are not part of West Wight Sports and Community Centre activities.

The Family Centre provides a range of support services throughout the week, including:

• Drop‑in advice and support sessions
• Pre‑birth and early years support
• Health visitor appointments
• Smoking cessation support
• Access to visiting organisations offering specialist help

Support is designed to be friendly, accessible and tailored to the needs of each family.

Families can access informal support without an appointment at the weekly drop‑in session:
